Easter Island, a small piece of land in the middle of nowhere in the Pacific Ocean. However it is a very popular tourist destination from Chile, and one of the most visited in the world. The reason? Maoi, the gigantic stone statues like huhman heads with mysterious origins.

Maoi are the only remains of a mysterious and ancient culture on the island: tthe Rapa Nui. The whole island has been considered a World Heritage Site by UNESCO since 1995, and both the government and administration of the island are controlled by special rules and laws.
